A Fictional, Novel Series
Having lived the extraordinary experience of being a taxpayer advocate during the timeframe of the 1990s when the chronicles of TAXMAN began, I always knew there was a story to share. I was able to research facts, create compelling characters and write stories about the turbulent 90’s pertaining to the significant tax reform that transpired in this country. I tried to maintain consistency with a real-life timeline, historical events and people that were pertinent to the storyline.
One of the joys of writing is the latitude of creating fictitious characters to tell a dramatic story based on true events. In writing Taming the Beast, Golden Secrets, and Unleashing the Beast, I was able to draw on personal experiences and those of others to create characters and storylines. In each novel the experiences of Jordan Duncan were derived from real life events.
The purpose of beginning the chronicles through the lens of a tax resolution firm was to demonstrate the costly and sometimes dangerous environment that taxpayers endure. It is not my intention to depict all IRS employees as bullies or abusive. That certainly is not the case.
This trilogy of amazing stories focuses on the adventures of the Taxman, Jordan Duncan. Follow his evolution as a maturing adult and his enlightening experiences dealing in the unpredictable, complex, and often dangerous world of taxation which stretches the fine line of legalization and fraud.
Happy Reading,
